Community Well-Being
Want to support community mental health in a way that’s proactive, practical, and engaging?
I work with schools, towns, and community organizations to design and lead programs that make emotional wellness more accessible, relevant, and meaningful — for both youth and adults.
My approach brings together educators, parents, mental health experts, and young people to co-create initiatives that are grounded in research, tailored to real needs, and rooted in community connection.
One example is SWell — a first-of-its-kind program I developed in partnership with Hingham Public Schools and Yale University. Based on the Science of Well-Being for Teens course, SWell invites high schoolers to explore the psychology of well-being, reflect on what matters, and experiment with simple, science-backed practices to support their mental health — all in a low-key, supportive, and fun setting.
Feedback from teens and parents has been overwhelmingly positive. Students report feeling less alone and more equipped to manage stress, while parents see their kids opening up and applying what they learn at home and school.
Programs like SWell show what’s possible when communities invest in connection, prevention, and shared responsibility for mental health.
